Waldorf Salad
4 Red Delicious Apples
4 Golden Delicious Apples
4 Granny Smith Apples
226g Red Grapes
180ml Mayo
180ml Sour Cream
3g Salt
1g Ground Black Pepper
TT Lemon juice
1 Cut (Medium Dice) Peeled Stalk Celery
86g Roughly Chopped Toasted Walnuts
4 Golden Delicious Apples
4 Granny Smith Apples
226g Red Grapes
180ml Mayo
180ml Sour Cream
3g Salt
1g Ground Black Pepper
TT Lemon juice
1 Cut (Medium Dice) Peeled Stalk Celery
86g Roughly Chopped Toasted Walnuts
- Cut the apples into medium dice. Cut the grapes in half.
- Mix together all the dressing ingredients and season as needed. Fold in apples, celery, and walnuts.
- Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate for up to 8 hours. This salad should be made the same day it is to be served.
Peeling the celery removes tough fibres and gives this salad refinement. Choose the most tender celery from the heart whenever possible. If the only celery available is very large and bitter, simply omit it from the salad.
You can use different kinds of apples, or even one type if it's all you have.
