Absurdity

Have been playing a bit over a month now, these are the notes I've sent myself so far on my journey with the new character. Lots of fun so far.

Decided to start logging my Runescape journey. Few weeks into it and done over 20 quests, trained my melee up to 30+ each. Today I helped a priest in peril and started a new nature spirit quest. I realized I will need to get my crafting up to make a silver item, so I decided to work on flax into bowstrings and made my way over the mountain. Last time I wasn't wearing armour and the wolves chased me off. This time I made it across to Catherby and did some fishing to get my food stocks up.

Started the world off in tutorial island, wish could skip it and get started. Did all the free quests up to dragon slayer, working on my skills as I go. I realized I needed to get my prayer up and became a member, suddenly I had dozens of quests to do so have worked on that and focus on energy for when I am back to F2P. Started my hand at a few member skills, farming, unlocked herb, trying to get to quests that have prayer experience.

Went to a drop party early in the morning, got lucky on a few balloons then dropping in the garden area, some armour I will need in a few levels so works out perfect. Got closer on merlins Crystal, so I can do holy grail, get prayer experience to finally finish dragon slayer. I have 35 possible quests now as a member, hoping to knock a bunch out, but they lead do more. Been picking lot of flax and making linen, then bolts of linen for money, did pretty well with prices.

I would really like to do Tears of Guthix as one of the more important quests to get done, but would want my fletching level up beforehand so my experience goes elsewhere, also want to do fishing contest before finishing Merlin's crystal now for better transportation over the mountain. Look forward to Diana joining us in our journey.

Spending the day working on firemaking, would have cut trees too but people keep dropping logs so I keep picking them up, need 49 FM for Tears quest.

Finished Merlin's Crystal, onto the holy grail and then Tears of Guthix and Dragon Slayer. Diana started playing, Lynnifer, we killed rats together while I worked on firemaking for Tears. Today I hope to travel and finish the holy grail when I get home, it has combat so I am unsure of doing it at work, but might risk it. Looking forward to the 3 of us questing together.

Runescape journey continues. Finished Holy Grail quest, leveling up my defense enough to wear the armour I got from the drop party the other day, and now my prayer is high enough to attempt dragon slayer.

First attempt did not go well, got down to 15hp but I ran out of food. I am going to get my attack up to 40 to use a rune sword and hit harder and bring better food and I should have it.

Yeah, I'm trying to avoid min/max and the GE for the most part, taking it in time. Trying to do the quests without looking things up from memory, but did need to look up where to blow that dang whistle exactly. Fun just immersing myself in a new character, having a goal of say do the last free quest Dragon Slayer, but to do that I need more prayer, Holy Grail is easy prayer, but I need to do Merlin's. Going over this mountain is annoying so I did fishing contest, and I just randomly farm and stuff as I go around, trying to not do too much of any one thing at once.

When go exploring and knocking out those music tracks. (Had 6 tracks in a row).

Went up four herblore levels. Was going to record my first Tears run but Diana was distracting me with stories of my mom.

Did a construction blitz today, getting my house in order and planned out a bit. Hit 40 attack so I can wield rune axe and weapons now, preparing myself to take on the dragon again.

Bit of fishing today, started few quests, got Gertrude her cat back. Had a kitten, lost it, forgot to feed it during the bar crawl.

I continue to quest, I will return to the tears later today for some herb experience, at which point I will need to level my skills by next week. I don't feel so new now as my lowest skills are getting pushed up. I have yet to return to face the dragon again, but have made good work on my house. I have stared on the achievement diaries but would like to get construction to 30 before finishing more. I would really like 99 construction I think for ease of transportation. I must find cheap ways to level it, I heard sailing repair kits can be looked into.

These are my notes in order for the last week or 2. I'll probably leave future ones as comments on this as I go about my journey. My goal is still to finish dragon slayer, but also really want to work on my house, getting that Sims vibe, loved that game too.
