Musings: Canadian Safety: 2026-01-13

I am someone who would like to see a one world government. But that needs to be a government of peace, of cooperation, not force. Countries slowly working together and building trust over decades, not trying to strong arm everyone together. The United States used to do that, and now it betrays its allies, trying to force them to join their union instead of doing things the right way, instead of having patience and making things better they are making things worse. Lasting trust is built over time, force and occupation will not last long in the test of time. They have made many enemies and are now making enemies of all their allies. EU is slowly building one unified government and I hope it continues to grow and expand, and Canada should join up with this alliance, an alliance of cooperation and trust, where they care about people and don't treat them as disposable.

I see an US official from the safety of Florida introduce legislature to annex Greenland. The fact that trying to attack an ally doesn't get you kicked out of parliament/senate/congress is astounding and is just trying to normalize the US as a hostile nation to the world. You don't need to "Acquire" someone else's land, you just need to work with your allies and not fight them. Greenland is already defended by NATO, which you are currently still a part of, and American troops have been stationed there without any issue until you threaten them, and by extension the rest of NATO. Canada will stay by it's allies.

On note about Canadian sovereignty, We need to expand the CBC! Have it include a social media platform mandate, it needs Radio, TV, and now internet, we need our own social media that can effectively fight hate and disinformation, as opposed to the states who are falling to "freedom" of speech. They are using places like X and Fox News as propaganda arms of the government, and we have no obligation to let foreign propaganda be broadcast into our country.

On Alberta: We want to treat you with respect, and I think most of Canada tries to. When you disagree on something though I don't think the answer is to just leave if you don't get your way. We've been asking for a long time to modernize your energy industry. Pivot away from fossil fuels and diversify industries. We want to help you in what you need help, so instead of fighting everything let's join together and keep building a great nation.

As a Canadian I think Canada would be happy to join with the EU and rest of NATO in fighting American aggression. It does put us at huge risk and we may not last long in a conventional war, but we would push the invaders out over time. We stand with our allies and I'm worried this is another Ukraine/Russia situation, except we will end up more like France in WW2 and have to resist until other powers can help liberate us. It is terrible and I fear so much for my children, but the only way out of it is if the US learns to treat it's allies as friends and work together on mutual goals instead of enemies to conquer and force their will on.

Yes terrified as well, watching it amp up over the last few years, how people still believe their administration which has been caught in 100s of lies, how this will not end with Trump but millions of Americans who think they can just own the world and take everything. Feels like we are Ukraine watching Russia prepare to attack, that we are on the eve of all this unnecessary death and destruction and nothing to do about it but hope America fights back against tyranny hard.

They called it the Department of War, and told you it's Peace.
