Absurdity

I'm working on a new story right now, it's getting me frustrated though, on one hand it seems too "rushed" (Diana's exact word) but it also seems needlessly detaily, so I need to slow it down, while taking out a bunch of details. I like the plot and over-all idea of this so I don't want to just delete it, but I'm also having trouble writing this to my satisfaction, so I might put it on the back-burner for a while. Right now I have written a lot of short stories and poems, but now I feel like writing something longer, and I'm working on that now.
