Absurdity

I have made my first comic using graphics off of Runescape, if you've seen my drawings you know why I took the graphics from there. I really like the comics section, it's something I've wanted to do for a while, but was limited in bandwidth by Geocities. Also right now I update the entire site by hand, if I add a new page I have to change the sidebars on a ton of pages as well. I have to change the dates for the page when I edit it, often I forget to do this, as well as creating the right start date for a new page, if I forget it will get the start date of the template page I'm using. I want this to change soon, I hear a lot about good scripts people use, however I have no idea where to get started, the last bit of coding I have done is VisualBasic, and even then it was the basics of basics.
