Door and Window Updates : 2008-11-21
I made a small update to my two word games, now when a word is put into the form they get put into a text document that I can see, as well it gets e-mailed to me, I hope to add more specific sentences this way. For example instead of there are no birds, it will say there are sparrows. Right now I have to enter everything by hand so I'm falling behind. I know I can't have it figure out words to put in, but I would like a way to just type in the words instead of having to do all of this editing. Right now it's a lot more work than it should be.
I don't really have the time to fix this, but I'm getting my thoughts down right now. I would like it so there is a form for me, or other future game updaters, can edit, with two columns and a checkbox. Column 1 will be the word inputed, column two will be the other word that can/cannot go through. The checkbox will be for if the word is plural or not, stored in the database as a simple 0 or 1. I'm thinking I'd like to use an associative array for this, where it matches the words up, and finds it's counterpart, and then displays them. I've never done this before so it will be a good learning experience. I'd like it so if plural it displays "There are no x, but there is y through the door/window", and if the word is singular: "There is no x, but there is y through the door/window".
