Every Morning
Every morning when I wake up,
I think of your smile,
And it brightens the rest of my day.
When I eat I think of how you squint your eyes,
Making me believe in love to my very core.
And when I dream,
I dream but of you,
Naked as the day God created such beauty.
You are my guardian angel,
Always protecting me,
Watching over me for all time.
When I'm sad your sad,
When I'm happy your happy,
When I'm angry your angry,
We beat with the same heart.
You are there to comfort me,
In good times and bad.
There are no words to describe how special you are to me,
But I try.
I want to hold you in my arms,
From now until I can hold you no longer,
And then I shall hold you even longer.
If I was to compare you to a rose,
Covered with dew on a crisp morning day,
I would shame you,
For you are so much more sweet.
You are the dawn,
You are the dusk,
You are my star glowing away into the dead of the night,
And I love you all the more every day.
I think of your smile,
And it brightens the rest of my day.
When I eat I think of how you squint your eyes,
Making me believe in love to my very core.
And when I dream,
I dream but of you,
Naked as the day God created such beauty.
You are my guardian angel,
Always protecting me,
Watching over me for all time.
When I'm sad your sad,
When I'm happy your happy,
When I'm angry your angry,
We beat with the same heart.
You are there to comfort me,
In good times and bad.
There are no words to describe how special you are to me,
